The Clock House

The Clock House C17 was the former stables and the coach house for the Hamptons Estate and forms part of a collection of Grade II listed buildings. The Clock House is listed by virtue of coursed Stone with galletting and the clock tower with working mechanism. The building had suffered from inappropriate conversion and serious neglect before being extensively renovated.

The symmetry and axis of the building plan was reinstated, meticulous historical restoration was combined with simple contemporary interventions to propose a full refurbishment and a modern extension distinct from the rear of the house involving extensive landscaping.
